It didn’t offer anything new to me, I just wanted to program quickly in Unity and use it for prototyping. When I started with it, the engine was fast, but with each new version it became more and more heavy and slower to use. I found the steadily growing scope of the engine particularly difficult. Unfortunately, I had a lot of trouble getting over the initial obstacles. An approach that helps me today as a professional C#/.NET developer for business applications in medicine, pharma, asset management and service-oriented architectures in general. And of course my attitude has changed from “pure C++ is the best, because you can do everything with it” to “use the language that is easiest for the purpose”.

I started to read the book over and over again until I had a first understanding of OOP and the development of small applications. They told me to make something of my passion and maybe programming would be something I would like – and they were right! My parents were not very happy about the fact that I spent a lot of time with the computer and only played games. When I was 13 years old I got my first programming book “Delphi for kids” as a present.
